It can be seen that with the continuous development of the market economy and the continuous improvement of modern logistics systems, the industrial development prospects of the food cold chain are very broad.

The annual output of various types of food in my country reaches 1 billion tons, accounting for 16% of the total food in the world. Among them, the output of meat, fruits, and aquatic products ranks first in the world. However, at present, the annual loss of transportation and storage of finished products in my country's food industry exceeds 100 billion yuan. According to statistics, just because of the loss of cold chain food during transportation, the entire logistics cost accounts for 60% of the cost of perishable food. Cold storage is an important equipment in the transportation and storage of food. To solve the main problems faced by the food industry, it is necessary to start with cold storage equipment.

China's cold chain logistics started late and its development is lagging behind. There are still many problems in China's cold chain logistics model. Taking primary agricultural products as an example, the weakest are the two links of agricultural product purchase and wholesale. The quality of employees engaged in the purchase and wholesale of agricultural products is low. The environment of the agricultural product wholesale market is dirty and poor. It is a very common phenomenon that the trading venues and transportation processes of the products simply cannot meet the requirements of the cold chain. The fruit, vegetable, and poultry meat consumed by ordinary people in Beijing flows to supermarkets and fruit and vegetable shops through wholesale markets with poor environments such as Xinfadi, and finally to the people’s dining table.

In this process, the operators also try to improve the trading environment and transform the original wholesale market into a logistics center. However, due to lack of professional logistics knowledge, their decision-making is restricted and they often make wrong decisions. The basic requirements of the logistics center cannot be operated. There are many cases in Beijing. Therefore, to change this status quo, logistics professionals need to participate in decision-making and improve the cold chain logistics environment. This is a long-term project that requires joint promotion at all levels.
